Pseudoarthrosis of Hip Joint (Meshplasty) After Periacetabular Resection
摘要
Reconstruction after periacetabular resection ranges from conventional implants to custom-made 3D-printed implants to biological options like sterilized reimplanted tumor bone. Pseudarthrosis is yet another option. Reconstructing the bone defect with a polypropylene mesh (Prolene TM Mesh, Johnson & Johnson, Ethicon division, Aurangabad, India) (meshplasty) results in a stable construct after significant fibrosis, and this provides a durable, cost-effective, and mobile long-term reconstruction option with minimal complications.
