Sustainable agriculture is one of the sustainability goals for many countries worldwide. Insects and herbivores represent a challenging problem for plant agriculture and crop production. Chemical-based pesticides have many drawbacks, mainly related to their environmental and human health hazards, the potential for target insects to develop resistance over time, and their unsustainability. Thus, plant-derived biopesticides and biofertilizers may provide a sustainable, safe, affordable, and natural resource for green agriculture. This book chapter focuses on the main natural resources for biopesticides and biofertilizers, their impact on agriculture, the challenges and limitations of these natural sources, and their possible formulations.
