This chapter continues from Chap. 2 to provide a section on dynamic finite element analysis. The inertial forces represented by a mass matrix in FE modelling are detailed while dynamic analyses of structures are provided. Aircraft structural modelling is demonstrated, whereas the equations of motion for rigid and flexible aircraft with and without control surfaces are presented.
