This chapter examines how the applications of the business-oriented Design Thinking process in higher design education can help to strengthen abilities for addressing design project contexts. The first Case in Point outlines how the human-centred Design Thinking process was used to support students’ development of design and brand strategy for a client-based project. Subsequently the second case explicates how design educators can use the process as a lesson design model to create pedagogies that improve fashion students’ design thinking for fashion merchandising.
