Care of Clients with Psychosomatic Illnesses and Somatoform Disorders
摘要
Somatoform and psychosomatic disorders encompass a spectrum of conditions in which psychological factors play a prominent role in the onset, maintenance, or exaggeration of physical symptoms. This chapter reviews definitions, contemporary classification schemes, etiology and risk factors, clinical presentation, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based medical and nursing management. Emphasis is placed on a biopsychosocial model, integrated care approaches, and practical nursing interventions that improve patient outcomes and reduce unnecessary healthcare utilization. Practical case-focused guidance and structured nursing care plans are provided to facilitate clinical transformation in both acute and community settings.
