In the preceding chapters, this book has developed and operationalized a Global Justice Index across ten substantive issue areas—climate change, peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, anti-terrorism and conflicts, cross-national criminal police cooperation, refugees, anti-poverty, education, public health, and the protection of women and children. Each issue has been measured according to a shared set of normative principles rooted in theories of global justice, with the aim of capturing states’ contributions to the provision of global public goods and the protection of fundamental human capabilities beyond national borders.
