Conceptualising the Theory of Rectificatory Global Justice for Civil Liability in Shipbreaking Industry
摘要
Rectificatory justice is a theoretical concept that focuses on remedying the unequal distribution of profit and harm between two opposite parties. This chapter uses rectificatory justice and contends that shipowners should be held accountable for the fatalities, injuries, and occupational illnesses occurring in shipbreaking nations. The central aim of this justice framework with its philosophical underpinning of remedying worker injustices in the shipbreaking industry is to align between the business of shipowners and right of shipbreaking workers to claim remedy.
