PCB-Based Antenna Examples
摘要
One of the most designed antennas in a variety of wireless products is the printed circuitCircuit board (PCB)-based antennas. These antennas can be easily mass produced with the commercial low-cost photo lithography technologies. Hence, this chapter is dedicated to the myriad variety of printed antennas, explored from a full-waveFull-wave solver’s perspective. The chapter begins with a motivation to investigate printed antennas. TheoreticalTheoretical background to establish the radiation mechanism in printed antennas is presented in detail. A detailed analysisAnalysis of inset-fed patchPatch antenna for Ka-bandKa-band is presented next. A section on tuningTuning the antenna using vital parameters of the antenna’s geometry is also included. An exhaustive treatment on apertureAperture-coupled antenna, CPW-fed antenna, CPS-fed antenna, ACS-fed antenna and printed dipoleDipole is also included in this chapter.
