The Extended Derivation of Two Kinds of Water Drive Regularity Curve Method and Its Application in an Oilfield Water Drive Development Evaluation

With the injection of water in Wells and the appearance of water in Wells, the development dynamics of oil fields will change obviously. On the basis of a large number of dynamic development data, it is very necessary to conduct timely development evaluation, such as testing the original geological reserves, determining the original recoverable reserves, mobile oil reserves and recovery efficiency of the oil fields. In this paper, two kinds of water drive curve method A and C are extended and derived, and the comprehensive use of A and C water drive curve method can effectively solve the oilfield development evaluation problem. The simplicity and practicability of the method are proved by an application example of block X of an oilfield. Comparing the two methods, it is concluded that the water drive curve A is more suitable for the study of the basic well pattern of the one-injection-one-production development block.
