The Flourishing of Chinese Wushu
摘要
Between 2000 and 2008, Chinese Wushu actively strengthened its self-improvement, exhibiting a multi-dimensional development trend. In terms of industrialization, commercial events such as “King of Sanda” propelled Wushu toward the market. Competitive Wushu improved its professionalism through rule refinement and the rectification of competition conduct. Meanwhile, traditional Wushu leveraged the national fitness craze, using the promotion of Taijiquan and the reform of the Duanwei System to serve public fitness. Wushu education in schools gradually diversified, emphasizing the primary role of the student. In the face of globalization, Wushu enhanced its cultural output and international influence through channels like international competitions.
