Economic Feasibility of Citrus Waste Biofuel
摘要
This chapter presents the economic aspects of converting citrus waste into biofuels, an area of growing relevance for sustainability. The transformation of citrus waste into a valuable energy resource is analyzed from the perspective of the bioeconomy and the biorefinery concept. A detailed cost-benefit analysis is presented, weighing production costs against the benefits of selling biofuels and by-products. The text addresses the challenges and investment opportunities, highlighting the development of more efficient technologies and the optimization of processes. Finally, the market potential and large-scale implementation are explored, emphasizing the contribution to energy security and the circular economy, and aiming to provide a clear roadmap for the economic exploitation of this waste.
