This study examines the seepage behavior of Hasdeo Bango Dam, a homogeneous earthen dam in Chhattisgarh, using GeoStudio. Seepage was simulated at varying reservoir levels (minimum, normal, and maximum) using the finite element method. The results of the current study are demonstrated in terms of seepage flux, exit gradient, and phreatic line for better understanding and performance of the structure under different hydraulic scenarios. The validation of the model was performed through the field data to ensure the accuracy. The results show that seepage remains within safe limits, and the phreatic line follows design standards. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of finite element modeling in evaluating dam safety and provides valuable insights for managing seepage in similar structures.

摘要
