The demand for hotels and restaurants continues to rise with increasing local warming, urbanization and population growth, leading to higher water consumption in the hospitality sector. As a result, efficient water management has become a critical challenge, requiring innovative conservation strategies to ensure sustainability. Water efficiency is frequently disregarded in the early phase of design and construction, despite growing awareness of water usage throughout a building’s lifecycle. In order to close this gap, this chapter looks at how sustainable water management techniques and strategies can be applied to hotel infrastructure under limited water conditions. Water-saving strategies require techniques like rainwater harvesting, reclaimed water, gray water regaling systems, green building practices, plumbing and low-flow fixtures, efficient landscaping with native, drought-resistant plants, construction materials and heat management and conduct a water Audit. The chapter prioritizing water efficiency in hotels, which is essential for the sustainable hospitality industry, can mitigate its environmental footprint while ensuring long-term water resource conservation.
