Research Agenda on the Practice of Management in Nigeria
摘要
It is generally recognized that there is a paucity of published literature based on research findings on the practice of modern management in Nigeria. Given this realization, a case is made for a more robust research agenda into all areas of management practice in the country. This is with a view to promoting a more effective and efficient utilization of the human and material resources available in Nigeria. To achieve this goal, the key areas to be addressed include the identification of priority areas for management research, funding of institutions to be saddled with responsibility for undertaking research, easily accessible platforms for dissemination of research findings to all relevant stakeholders, and development of training packages based more on the context of the local operating environment. There is also the need for greater cooperation and collaboration between industry and academia for research findings to be of practical utility to practitioners and other stakeholders.
