Research on the Guidance of Urban Landscape and Building Control Based on Line-of-Sight Analysis: A Case Study of Chenghuang Temple Area in Hefei City
摘要
Against the backdrop of urbanization, cities’ traditional spatial characteristics are gradually disappearing. Therefore, there is an increasing need for urban residents to have access to and share landscape resources. Using line of sight analysis to assist urban planning practice and architectural control guidance is beneficial for designers, as it helps them accurately control the visible areas of important scenic spots in the city and the occlusion areas caused by urban elements such as buildings. In this paper, we propose the use of parameterized software as a simulation analysis platform to establish a virtual outdoor space human eye line observation method. Our approach is based on the three-dimensional connection between people’s viewpoints and scenic spots, and considers the occlusion of buildings and other elements. We illustrate our method by calculating the visible area of the public space around Sihui Building in the Luzhoufu Chenghuang Temple Area of Hefei City’s old town.
