Comparative Analysis of Electric-Field Coupled Wireless Power Transfer Systems Based on Air-Core and Magnetic-Core Compensated Inductors
摘要
The wireless power transfer (WPT) system has received widespread attention due to its convenience and security. The output stability of WPT systems is highly sensitive to changes in resonant frequency variations. So currently, almost all resonant inductors used in ECWPT systems are air-core inductors. However, air-core inductors have problems such as large volume, low energy density, and risk of magnetic leakage. To solve this problem, this article proposes an ECWPT system based on magnetic core inductance, which uses magnetic core inductance instead of air-core inductance. This article first derives the output formula of the ECWPT system with bilateral LC compensation and analyzes the system characteristics. By designing appropriate magnetic-core inductors, the output characteristics of the system are approximately the same when using magnetic core inductors and air-core inductors. The use of magnetic-core inductors greatly reduces the system volume.
