Based on the Accessibility-Cohesion Theory (A-C theory) framework proposed in this book, whether it is the Western classic development model followed by developed economies to achieve their current development accomplishments, or the “China Model” that has guided over one billion Chinese people from poverty to prosperity over the past 40 years, the fundamental determining factor behind them is the same: political governance cohesion and economic accessibility. China’s development has witnessed a transformation from conflictual political governance to cohesive political governance, and from a restricted-access economy to an open-access economy. Eventually, the combination of single-peak unbiased political governance and an open-access economy has fueled China’s high-speed growth over the past 40 years, driving the country to gradually move from poverty to prosperity.
