Current Research on Alzheimer’s Disease-Associated Cognitive Disabilities Management and Future Perspectives
摘要
Although several diagnostic and therapeutic strategies are being employed for Alzheimer’s disease-associated cognitive disability (ADCD) management, preventing or reversing cognitive dysfunctions in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) patients is still a significant challenge. This chapter delves into current research to advance the therapeutic approaches for ADCDs management. A deeper understanding of AD mechanisms is vital to exploring novel treatment strategies for managing ADCDs in a better way. This chapter also aims to provide research-based advanced insights into molecular mechanisms and neurodegenerative pathways associated with AD progression. Moreover, it reviews the discovery of innovative treatments, including both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions that mitigate cognitive decline. Furthermore, this chapter highlights the emerging application of nanotechnology for better management of ADCDs. It also addresses the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI–ML) for personalized therapy and predictive modeling for ADCDs. Additionally, this chapter emphasizes the future perspectives of ADCD management, aiming for new inspirational interdisciplinary research directions with a vision of enhanced patient outcomes.
