Cybersecurity Risk Practices Using Business Analytics: A Traditional Literature Review
摘要
The advancement of digital innovations such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing has accelerated digital transformation adoptions by organizations. However, cybersecurity risks such as zero-day vulnerabilities have also evolved due to these adoptions, due to the increased interconnectivity, along with the volume of technology and data currently. This study explores how business analytics and cybersecurity risk practices can be integrated for better decision-making. To reach this goal, a traditional literature review (TLR) was conducted, which found that eight recent studies published in 2024 were examined to assess the integration between business analytics and cybersecurity risk practices. The findings imply that there is a strong focus on predictive analytics, while descriptive and prescriptive analytics are not yet being fully engaged along with a lack of empirical research. Besides that, the researcher also proposes how theoretically business analytics can be integrated with cybersecurity risk practices by presenting how the three types of business analytics can be used in each step of the cybersecurity risk management process. Lastly, the study concludes that though the discussion regarding business analytics and cybersecurity risk practices is still in the beginning stages, they hold significant potential to enhance decision-making in managing cybersecurity risks. The researcher also believes future researchers can provide empirical research regarding this integration.
