This chapter explores three pivotal themes. The first provides an overview of the current landscape of disaster education and emerging global trends. It discusses the evolution of disaster preparedness education, outlines key frameworks that guide international disaster response, and offers strategic recommendations for strengthening healthcare disaster preparedness education. The second introduces Japan’s Co-Creation Hub, a model of cross-sector collaboration that unites government, academia, and industry to build sustainable systems promoting health and well-being across all phases of the disaster cycle: before, during, and after emergencies. The final theme focuses on the contributions of interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPECP) to disaster preparedness and response, highlighting effective teaching and learning methods, particularly simulation-based IPE training, defining essential nonclinical core competencies for interprofessional teamwork in disaster settings, and presenting strategies for enhancing collaboration in high-pressure environments.

摘要
