Study on the Distribution Characteristics of Surface Charge and Trap Properties for Silicon Nitride Ceramics
摘要
Silicon nitride ceramic materials can be used as an alternative to epoxy resin insulating struts in SF6 gas insulated feedthrough bushings due to their excellent insulating properties and mechanical characteristics. Thus, the surface insulating characteristics of silicon nitride ceramic materials are examined in this work, along with the distribution of surface traps and surface charge accumulation of silicon nitride samples. The test results show that the surface traps of the sample are mainly shallow traps, and the charge density of the upper and lower regions of the sample surface and the density of shallow traps are larger than that of the middle region of the sample surface, and the trend of the surface charge distribution and the distribution of surface traps is consistent. The results of this paper can provide a reference for the use of silicon nitride ceramic materials in high-voltage DC equipment.
