This paper initial on a fast frequency and voltage regulation method for flywheel energy storage system based on Amplitude-Phase-Locked-Loop (APLL) is initially discussed. In the proposed method, a virtual power support strategy is designed based on the frequency difference signal (df/dt) and voltage difference signal (dV/dt) detected by APLL. The superiority of the APLL-based flywheel energy storage system in improving the frequency and voltage dynamic characteristics of the grid is verified by operating simulations with load disturbances and three-phase ground faults.

摘要
