RRC State Transition Threshold & Throughput-Energy Tradeoff for UE
摘要
In the process of data transmission, user equipment (UE) needs to transition between different Radio Resource Control (RRC) states during the process of data packet transmission. The UE consumes different amounts of energy in different states. To coordinate the transitions between these RRC states, we have developed a series of RRC state transition protocols. Specifically, the transitions between the suspend state and the inactive state are achieved by adjusting the RRC state transition time thresholds (denoted as T and k in this paper). In this paper, we investigate the relationship between T, k, and the throughput per unit energy consumption of the UE.
