Moreover, amidst the global evolution of educational reforms, there has been a discernible shift in research focus towards teacher education. Consequently, policy studies related to teacher education and management have gained prominence among researchers. This chapter systematically reviews the teacher policies in basic education, outlining their historical context and principal components across different stages. It also conducts an analysis of the challenges confronting these policies. The objective is to propose viable solutions to the challenges encountered in basic education teacher policies in China, ultimately aiming to realize the ideal goal of enhancing the construction of teachers in basic education.
