From 1999 to 2001, I, along with three other researchers including French anthropologist Fiorlla Allo, conducted fieldwork in Jingyang County, Shaanxi Province. The entry point for our investigation was the Shehuo festival, and the focus of our initial investigation was “water”. We aimed to explore the relationship between Shehuo rituals and folk water management.
