This paper reviews the potential of incorporating polypropylene (PP) fibers into interlocking concrete blocks, a key component of the sustainable Industrialized Building System (IBS), which is particularly suitable for the current construction industry in Malaysia. Interlocking concrete blocks are valued in the construction industry for their practicality and rapid assembly, contributing to efficient and cost-effective building processes. The integration of PP fibers is anticipated to enhance the strength and durability of these blocks, offering improved resistance to cracking and extending their lifespan. Despite the promising prospects, current research on this subject remains limited, indicating a need for further comprehensive studies to explore various aspects of PP fiber application in interlocking blocks. This review underscores the importance of advancing research to validate the benefits and address the gaps in knowledge, potentially leading to more robust and reliable construction practices, i.e. 150–250 words.

摘要
