Character Strengths and Resilience in Educational Settings: A Two-Decade Bibliometric Study
摘要
Character strengths and resilience are essential, interrelated factors in promoting well-being and academic success within educational settings. Despite growing interest in these concepts over the past two decades, research remains fragmented. This bibliometric study consolidates research patterns, influential authors, collaboration networks, and thematic developments related to character strengths and resilience in education. Using bibliometric tools and the R package, 40 peer-reviewed empirical studies published between 2005 and 2025 were retrieved from Scopus and Web of Science. The results reveal limited collaboration networks and emphasize the need for more diverse, context-sensitive research. Key themes include the integration of strength-based approaches to enhance student resilience and well-being. The findings highlight the emerging significance of “strengths-resilience” research and offer practical insights for educators and researchers aiming to implement evidence-based interventions. This study supports the development of effective strategies to foster resilience through character strengths in modern educational environments.
