Mechanical Properties of Polyurethane Foam-Filled Corrugated Structures with Different Webs
摘要
Five corrugated structures were designed and 3D printed with different inclined angles and distributed webs at the same volume. Severe brittle fractures of web occurred at low strain under quasi-static compression, except for corrugated structure containing webs with the most inclined angles. Filling the web space with polyurethane foam delayed the fracture of the corrugated structure, and avoided the failure of the corrugated structure at small strain. There was the longer plateau stage of the foam-filled corrugated structure. Its energy absorption effect was better than that of the corrugated structure. With the different distribution and angle of web, the failures of foam-filled corrugated structures included brittle fracture in the middle of web, web funnel-shaped deformation and fracture, and web buckling deformation.
