Visitor Experience of Digital Interpretation and Presentation of Cultural Heritage Sites
摘要
The mission of interpretative and presentative activities is to convey cultural values and cultural identities and to enhance visitors’ understanding, enjoyment, and positive attitudes with respect to heritage sites (Stewart et al., Tourism Management, 19(3), 257–266, 1998). The introduction of digital technology provides an opportunity for the construction of new interactions and connections between cultural heritage sites and their visitors (Liu, The Application of New Technology in the Museum of Natural History. Paper presented at the Ancient Art and Modern Science and Technology Academic Forum, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, China, 2018). Through semistructured questionnaires and in-depth interviews, this study gathered visitors’ basic quantitative evaluations of digital interpretation and presentation, as well as their specific experiences and opinions on different digital interaction methods and technologies, to provide references for constructing visitor-friendly digital interpretation and presentation settings.
