It explores how these pathways are being used to strengthen multi-level governanceMulti-level governance, embed participatory and place-based approaches, and evolve inclusive civic infrastructures with the potential for systemic changeSystemic change. Three case examples presented in this chapter illustrate how municipal–civil society collaborationsCollaboration, with universities and with Indigenous communities, translate these principles into practice. Drawing on insights from the 2024 Innovate4Cities ConferenceInnovate4Cities Conference, the chapter highlights how local and ancestral wisdoms, ecological stewardship, and participatory design can inform just, regenerative, and transformative urban futures.
