This chapter presents 30 mini-essays on literary works where cancer is a major theme. This is not traditional literary criticism, but the application of the authors’ psychological expertise to these texts. Our selection of works aims to showcase diverse literary styles and life experiences. It is intended that this psychological analysis of literature can stimulate readers and enhance medical education and health humanities. The works studied were read in their original languages (English, French, German, Dutch) or in translation.
