Projects Planning: The Cutting Edge
摘要
Projects are divided into four phases: conceptualizing, planning, execution, and Closure, which often overlap rather than follow a strict sequence. The planning is the most important part of the project life cycle, for successful project execution. The conceptual phase is highlighted as the stage where strategic decisions are made, including feasibility studies, technology selection, and risk analysis. The planning phase follows, involving detailed analysis, design alternatives, and contract package decisions, often requiring trade-offs due to constraints like budget and time. Investing time in planning yields significant returns during execution, making it the most vital aspect of project management.
