Environmental Impact Assessment of Carbon Emissions from In-Situ Cold Recycling for Asphalt Pavement Maintenance Technology
摘要
To more accurately assess the energy conservation and emission reduction benefits of in-situ cold recycling for asphalt pavement maintenance, a life cycle analysis (LCA) was conducted, dividing the process into three stages: raw material production, material transportation, and on-site construction. A life cycle evaluation framework for in-situ cold recycled asphalt pavement was established. Using a case study from the Tianjin Avenue maintenance project, the emission reduction benefits of this method were quantified through comparative analysis with conventional plant-mixed cold recycling and mill-and-repave techniques. The results demonstrate that the in-situ cold recycling method reduces emissions by approximately 3.39 kg/m2 compared to plant-mixed cold recycling, achieving an emission reduction rate of 34.26%. When compared to the mill-and-repave method, the emission reduction reaches 11.73 kg/m2, corresponding to a 64.34% decrease, highlighting its significant energy-saving advantages.
