Rehmannia glutinosa (Gaertn.) Libosch. ex Fisch. & C.A. Mey., a perennial herb of the Scrophulariaceae family, commonly grows on hillsides, along roadsides, and in wastelands at altitudes between 50 and 1100 meters. The root, known as Dihuang, derives its name from its yellow-white color and is used in traditional medicine.
