The Diseases of Andrographis paniculata
摘要
Andrographis paniculata [A. paniculata (Burm. F.) Nees], also known as spring autumn willow, gold hook grass, bitter bile grass, and Indian herb, is an herbaceous plant in the Acanthaceae family. Widely cultivated in Hainan, Guangxi, Yunnan, Fujian, Guangdong provinces, and occasionally in Jiangsu and Shaanxi provinces, this plant is valued for its heat-clearing, detoxifying, blood-cooling, and swelling-reducing properties. It is traditionally used to treat fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers, whooping cough, diarrhea, dysentery, painful urination, abscesses, and snake bites.
