Faith Reconfigured: Chitta Ranjan
摘要
Reflecting on Chittaranjan’s works makes me feel as if a world of faith is reconfigured, especially now when the turmoil created by the Corona virus around the globe seems difficult to alleviate all sorts of miseries humanity is facing. His works make a signal contribution to our understanding of how a vision that helps in understanding the larger landscape in aesthetics and philosophy and in other disciplines may provide penetrating insights into the dynamics of the diversities that shed light on the subject of many areas. While sketching a brief profile of the importance of the concept of perennial values as discussed by him, I have attempted its limited exploration in this paper. These can be termed as important paradigms in modern context. The emergence of these concepts as consciously adopted critical trends by the literatures in India may claim a Pan-Indian identity. Regarding this Indian literary tradition, Ananda Coomaraswamy even proposed an idea of perennial philosophy that transcends national as well as historical boundaries.
