The statistical theory of decisions and of machine learning are interesting areas for applications of Convex Analysis. Since the fundamental mathematical structures of both the domains of Classical (Kolmogorovian) and of Quantum (noncommutative) Probability are very similar, this idea is explored here. As an explicit example, the problem of Pattern Recognition is discussed with interesting consequences.
