Secure Health Record Management System with Blockchain and Local Storage Integration
摘要
A new era of innovations and improved patient care faces new obstacles, particularly in the areas of security, authenticity, and remote data access. The digitization of patient information and the integration of medical systems have increased the risk of exposing sensitive medical data to cyberthreats. Therefore, finding a balance between the advantages of healthcare technology and the crucial concerns of data protection has become essential. The combination of blockchain, local storage technology, and conventional Electronic Health Record (EHR) management has the potential to transform the healthcare industry by enhancing data security, interoperability, and transparency. However, one major issue that still exists in traditional healthcare systems is the persistent problem of remote data unavailability. This research examines practical methods for safely accessing patient data from any location at any time, with a special focus on local servers and blockchain technology, in addition to group signature encryption. Essential processes like maintaining the confidentiality of medical records and ensuring secure data transmission could be made easier with these technologies. Our proposed strategy demonstrates the feasibility of remotely accessing patient data while maintaining the vital aspects of data accessibility, integrity, and confidentiality through the utilization of the Ethereum blockchain.
