This chapter treats the propagation of electromagnetic TE waves in a Goubau line: a single–conductor metal core, coated by a dielectric layer, and surrounded by a homogeneous isotropic exterior medium. The dielectric coating is allowed to be nonlinear and radially inhomogeneous, while the exterior is linear.
