摘要

In this chapter we recall that for a circular cylindrical Goubau line—a single-conductor transmission line formed by a metal wire coated with a concentric dielectric layer and embedded in a homogeneous isotropic exterior medium—the full electromagnetic problem, in the azimuthally symmetric case (no dependence on the angular coordinate), decouples into two independent polarizations.
