Non-seminomatous Germ Cell Tumors
摘要
Non-seminomatous germ cell tumors (NSGCT) are malignant testicular neoplasms most commonly affecting men between the ages of 15 and 35. Unlike seminomas, NSGCTs are more aggressive and consist of multiple histological subtypes, including embryonal carcinoma, teratoma, yolk sac tumor, and choriocarcinoma. Diagnosis is based on a combination of physical examination, tumor markers (AFP, β-hCG), and imaging. Management typically involves radical inguinal orchiectomy followed by chemotherapy or surgical resection depending on stage and risk stratification. Despite their aggressive nature, NSGCTs are highly curable with multimodal treatment, and ongoing efforts aim to reduce treatment-related morbidity while preserving excellent survival outcomes.
