Myopia literally means “I close the eye.” It is an ocular condition in which the optical power of the eye is too strong for the corresponding axial length of the eye. So the rays of light are focused in front of the retina instead of on the retina. Myopia of more than 6D or axial length more than 26 mm is considered to be high myopia.
