Existential Humanities and the Challenges of Authenticity, Isolation and Connection in the Digital Classroom

This chapter seeks to present insights into how existential humanities addresses the challenges of authenticity, isolation and connection in the age of digitalisation, with a special focus on the English classroom in India. Learners will be able to engage and interact digitally, even more productively, when they are able to make informed decisions after understanding the concepts of real self, virtual self, loneliness and togetherness in the context of cyberspace.
