This paper presents the design and development of a Smart Bus Seat Pre-Booking System aimed at optimizing seat allocation, enhancing passenger experience, and improving operational efficiency in urban public transportation. Leveraging real-time data, predictive analytics, and dynamic seat management, the system enables passengers to reserve seats in advance, receive real-time updates, and be reallocated seamlessly in case of delays or overbooking. The architecture integrates data collection from transit databases, machine learning models for demand forecasting, and communication modules for timely notifications. Survey analysis highlights common challenges such as seat scarcity and long waits, which the system aims to mitigate. Results indicate that the implementation of this system can reduce wait times, increase bus occupancy, and promote sustainable mobility, ultimately making public transportation more reliable, efficient, and user-centric.
