WebGL and Data-Driven Interactive Gaming Platform: Enhancing User Engagement Through Real-Time Analytics
摘要
This research paper presents the development of an interactive web platform for Adventures of the Pixel Knight, a 2D platformer game created as a major project. The website serves as a central access point, allowing players to experience the game directly through their web browsers without the need for downloads. Leveraging WebGL technology, the game is seamlessly integrated into the browser, maintaining high-quality performance and responsive design across devices. Built on Django, the platform also incorporates essential features like user authentication, progress tracking, and a competitive leaderboard. Redis is utilized to manage real-time data, supporting efficient session management and live updates to enhance the gaming experience. This research explores the challenges and technical architecture of integrating WebGL for smooth, web-based gameplay, providing insights into the impact of accessible online gaming on user engagement and satisfaction.
