The study offers visually impaired people an enhanced assistive technology by incorporating smart glasses with YOLO (You Only Look Once) object detection. Real-time obstacle detection, object recognition, and safe navigation are the main goals of the proposed system. Objects may be quickly and accurately identified using YOLO’s deep learning algorithm, and the associated data is transformed into audio feedback. The user’s ability to travel autonomously in both known and unfamiliar situations is greatly improved by this. A Raspberry Pi, a camera, and ultrasonic sensors are used by the smart glasses system to identify objects and determine distance.
