The chapter takes the case of science education of learners with visual impairment in an inclusive set-up. The chapter deliberates on the evolution of the idea of disability as well as of special education. This evolution along with the right perspective of education has sown the seed of inclusion and inclusive education. Hence, learners with impairment including learners with visual impairment are now part of an inclusive school system. This requires preparation on the part of schools including teachers’ readiness for accepting and engaging learners with visual impairment. Science is one of the most significant school subjects which has been made mandatory till class 10 in India. Also, science as a disciplinary area has a very unique nature that puts specific demands on the learners. Hence, the chapter specifically focuses on science teachers’ perception of expectations from learners with visual impairment.
