From iPod to iPhone
摘要
Unlike many major corporations that missed the internet boom, Apple under Steve Jobs always had a keen sense of what the youth of the internet age craved. As noted earlier, the hottest term on the internet in 1999 was “MP3.” This enthusiasm for online music among early internet users remained strong into the early twenty-first century. In 2003, the top Google search was for pop icon Britney Spears, a title she retained in 2004. In 2005, another pop diva, Janet Jackson, took the crown as the most searched name. During this same period, sales of the iPod were skyrocketing—from just 939,000 units in 2003 to a staggering 22.5 million in 2005 (see Table 33.1).
