What Happens When Mice Are Exposed to Low-Dose Internal Radiation across Generations?: -What we Learned from 40 Generations of Cesium-137 Intake Experiments-
摘要
If mice continue to drink water containing cesium-137 (137Cs) for generations, will their offspring be affected? To address this question, this chapter presents the main results of our mouse experiments in which more than 40 generations of mice were fed 137Cs water (100 Bq/mL: 100,000 Bq/L) for 15 years. In addition, I will discuss the possible medical applications of the phenomena that appear to be derived from abscopal effect inducers and radiation-induced gene expression observed in this series of experiments.
