Evaluation of BAPV systems is a widely examined with different software and evaluation metrics, but there is a lack of a standard framework for evaluating BAPV systems in practice. This study proposed a PVSyst-based standard framework to evaluate vertical BAPV façade with Internal Rate of Return (IRR) that can be used in practice with minimum information. The framework was used for evaluating and selecting façades to install BAPV systems for an industry park in Changsha, China. The framework should be suitable for general BAPV façade projects but limited by the simplification of some of the parameters and cannot be automated.
